Supporting Collective Worship in Schools
In the past the DBE has paid for schools leaders to produce detailed plans and themes for Collective Worship in schools. Whilst this has its benefits, it does make it harder for schools to be develop their own resources which support their school’s vision.
In 2019/2020 colleagues from Learn AT Teaching School developed resources for the year and amazing pages on their website.
2020/2021 will be the last year of the DBE supporting centrally produced resources and themes. It is our hope that the Learn AT Teaching Schools website pages will become a rich resource of ideas and resources shared from practitioners in school and links to other fantastic websites and providers.
So please send your plans, resources and ideas to Yolanda DBEOffice@LecCofE.org so they can be shared widely and support other schools in their Collective Worship.
We are grateful to the following schools for sharing their ideas for the forthcoming term:
- Church Langton has populated the Teaching School website with some suggested themes and content for the remainder of this term and sign posted Picture News which I know lots of you access already
- Bottesford and Harby School’s have shared their collective worship plans, and sign posted some excellent resources from Diocese of Canterbury | Rebuilding Community, Oak National Academy and The Archbishop of York’s Youth Trust @ Home materials: these can be adapted for use in schools YLA at home
